mailsound - Written by Andrew W. Scherpbier

Mailsound is used to play different sounds depending on who you
receive mail from. The file ".mailsounds" in your home directory
contains a list of regular expressions and sound names.
Here is a sample .mailsounds file:

arul.* hurl.au
boyns.* excellent.au
turtle.*	LookDone.au
root.* bogus.au
gopher.*	monkey-3.au
news.* beep.au
sun-managers.*	chord.au
.*flash.*	chord.au
wais.* burp.au
MAILER.*	boooing.au
daemon.*	boooing.au
mailer.*	boooing.au
Postmaster.*	boooing.au
postmaster.*	boooing.au
.*uucp.*	SynthHornsC3.au
.* Thank_you_very_much.au

Note the last entry is ".*" which will match everything else.
Once you have a .mailsounds file you have to set up your .forward
to pipe your mail through mailsound. Here is a sample:

\boyns, |"/usr/local/bin/mailsound hercules"

Replace "boyns" with your username and "hercules" with the host
you want to play the sounds on. The .forward file must also
be in your home directory.

Have fun.
