It builds on a previous 2002\r\nworkshop, the outcome of which was documented in RFC 3535,\r\nidentifying 14 operator requirements for consideration in future\r\nnetwork management protocol design and related data models, along\r\nwith some recommendations for the IETF. Much has changed in the\r\nInternet's operation and technological foundations since then. The\r\nNEMOPS workshop reviewed the past outcomes and discussed any\r\noperational barriers that prevented these technologies from being\r\nwidely implemented. With the industry, network operators and protocol\r\nengineers working in collaboration, the workshop developed a\r\nsuggested plan of action and network management recommendations for\r\nthe IETF and IRTF. Building on RFC 3535, this document provides the\r\nreport of the follow-up IAB workshop on network management.\r\n\r\nNote that this document is a report on the proceedings of the\r\nworkshop. The views and positions documented in this report are those\r\nof the workshop participants and do not necessarily reflect IAB views\r\nand positions.","pub_date":"May 2026","keywords":["YANG","NETCONF","RESTCONF","NMOPS","RFC3535"],"obsoletes":[],"obsoleted_by":[],"updates":[],"updated_by":[],"see_also":[],"doi":"10.17487\/RFC9968","errata_url":null}
