I would like to let kite enthusiasts know about the 2nd Annual Art in the Sky Festival. Last year's festival attracted about 500 people from as far away as Ontario Canada. Art Park is located just east of the village of Cazenovia, about 20 miles southeast of Syracuse, NY . Stone Quarry Hill is 1 1/2 miles east of the village on Route 20. Art Park has approximately 40 acres of open space at the top of large hill. Cazenovia is a small village on the edge of Cazenovia Lake. There are several excellant restaurants including the Brewster Inn, The Braeloch Inn, and the Lincklaen House. For places to stay there are several bed and breakfasts including the Linklaen House, and the Cazenovia Motel located just a mile from the festival. For light food, or lunch in the historic area try Wheatberry located in the center of the village. This year's event will be Saturday, May 4th, from 9 am-5pm. It will be an open day of flying with awards given out at 1 pm. Judging will be held from noon till one pm. We are currently looking for people that would like to sell kite supplies in the art barn, exhibit kites , or do a kite building workshop. If you have any suggestions: please contact Roger De Muth 59 Chenango St, Cazenovia,NY 13035, email- rdemuth@mailbox.syr.edu or phone (315)655-8599 or Contact Lennie Duensing, Director, Stone Quarry Hill Art Park 655-3196 Open to all.
