                       A MacHead's Bookmarks

Attached is a file of 350+ bookmarks for each, NetScape, Internet Explorer,
and Cyberdog. Set-up for each for EASY importing.

You know how hard it is to swap, exchange or otherwise "copy" between
browser's. Well no more, to get a good set of assorted start-up bookmarks
(approx. 180) AND/OR a huge Apple, and Macintosh (approx. 175) bookmarks, just
download this small cost SHAREWARE file.

I am a recently disabled person and this SHAREWARE program will go a long way
in helping me achieve my goal to obtain some expensive programs to help me in
my condition to again be able to help support my family by writing programs.

So that's it.. as honest as I can be. So PLEASE, download "A MacHead's
Bookmarks" TODAY, won't you?

Thank you,

Subject: [*] ACE! 1.1.1 - an extendible save game editor

ACE! allows you to edit the 'save game' documents created by many
commercial and shareware games (these documents are referred to as
'characters' by some games). Additionally, ACE! allows you to print details
of these save games.

Initially, you can edit the save games from 'Bard's Tale', 'Doom' (1, 2 and
Ultimate), 'Foobar vs the DEA', 'Heroes of Might & Magic', 'King's Bounty',
'Mantra', 'Marathon' (1, 2, Infinity, Excalibur and Evil), 'Might and
Magic' (1, 2 and 3), 'Pathways into Darkness', 'Realmz', 'Ultima III',
'Unlimited Adventures', 'Wizardry Gold' and 'Yipe! III'. However, ACE! can
be extended to edit other save games through the use of plug-in 'modules'.

ACE! is freeware.

ACE! will run on any Macintosh or MacOS compatible computer. It requires
System 7.0 or higher, a minimum of 350k of disc space, and about 640k of
free RAM.

ACE! is distributed as a fat binary, meaning that it runs native on both
68k and PPC processors.

Version 1.1.1 fixes a bug that prevented ACE! from running on PPC machines
with MacOS 7.x, and adds a new version checking system which ensures that
modules made in the future will only be used by ACE! if they are compatible.

This file has been checked for viruses with Disinfectant version 3.7.1.

Permission is given for this program to be included on the Info-Mac CD rom.

Subject: [*] BioAssistant 1.0 Fat

BioAssistant, in a nutshell, is an application that will help (in
particular) PCR Chemists faced with the challenge of designing Probes
and primers with a given set of characteristics. It also has tools
for Master Mix calculation, as well as sequence manipulation and
peptide visualization.

BioAssistant is based on Chaotic Software's first PCR chemistry
application, Probe Assistant, but takes it a huge step forward by
introducing many new features, a redesigned interface, and a lots more.
Feedback, as usual, is very welcome at Chaotic Software. In this case,
though, applications of this nature must be accurate, and based very
much on what YOU, the chemistry (or other life science discipline) lab
user, would like to see in such a software package. Therefore, if
you find any bugs, or if you have some suggestions for improvement,
please let us know. We would love to make BioAssistant work for you
in all the ways you expect.

compressed PICT files. They look great on most monitors but tend to
suffer with color settings less than "Thousands of Colors".

NEWS: I've started compressing the PICTs with JPEG, which makes smaller

Digital Diary=81 allows you can keep track of many on-going and complex
projects, with fingertip access to the current status of each one.
Projects can be arranged in up to 50 main categories. Or if you prefer,
you can use the category level for your projects, and use the next level
down for detailed project subcategories. You can even arrange your
projects over several separate copies of Digital Diary to add yet another
level to your project hierarchy.

Digital Diary=81 employs a double entry method, which records all notes i=

both a Day File as well as a Project File. A third location, the 'To Do
List', is reserved for certain types of notes that require future follow
up, such as appointments and project deadlines. Digital Diary=81 ships with
note types arranged in two groups. The first group is set to be recorded in
the To Do List as well as the Project File and Day File. Note types can be
changed, added, or removed at any time. An on-screen reminder appears when
the program is opened on or after the date specified for a future event
listed in the 'To Do List'. Each project can also be assigned a status from
a user-definable menu.

A wide variety of reports can be generated, with information arranged by
project name, status, or note type. Varying levels of password protection
are available to control access to the program.

Subject: [*] English-Polish Dictionary - foreign language learning

The 'English-Polish Dictionary' is a database for the 'Verbs & Nouns' and
'V&N Lookup' programs. It will be useful to Poles who are learning English
and to English speakers who are learning Polish. The Demo version consists
of 9,000 words (letters a to d). The complete version consists of 32,000
words. I am continually improving and enlarging this dictionary. You can
also access this dictionary from the 'Language Reader' application (see the
course 'English for Beginners' for native speakers of Polish).

The 'Verbs & Nouns' application allows you to add new entries and modify
the existing entries, to add comments to every word, search for the English
word or its Polish translation, and do translation exercises.
With 'V&N Lookup' you can translate English text into Polish
(word-for-word), search for English or Polish words, check spelling, and
add comments to existing words.

You can download the latest version of 'Verbs & Nouns' and 'V&N Lookup'
from Info-Mac mirror sites. They are located in the directory

Subject: [*] iView 2.8.5 Released

iView 2.8 the (Photoshop Compatible) Multimedia Organizer for the Mac

iView 2.8 is an essential utility that is the simplest and easiest way
to catalog multimedia files. Organize your images, fonts, clip art, qtvr
and more.

Changes and New Features in version 2.8.5

- Major bug fix on list drawing for 68K machines.
- All preferences embedded in a single multi-pane dialog
- Added 'Export' option, now saves files as:
    a) individual files: PICT, JPEG with adjustable compression
    b) poster previews
    c) user definable tab/comma delimited text list
- Creates/Displays previews of varying sizes
- Fade duration was speeded up for 68K machines
- More preference options added to:
   a) enable file extension importing
   b) ignore full QT checking on imported images
- Updated Manual

   c) loop movie playback

iView is an extremely handy utility that keeps track of all your image,
animation and movie files. Tired of searching thru disks and CD's trying
to locate that special photo or clip art you saw just last week? iView
is exactly what you need. iView goes far beyond the Mac's simple
scrapbook utility and allows you to view and organize many types of
multimedia files on all your disks whether mounted or not. Some of the
types currently supported include: JPEG, GIF, GIFf, TIFF, TIF,
Single-layer Photoshop, Silicon Graphics and of course PICT files,
QuickTime movies, QuickTimeVR, Fonts, GIF animations and if XTND is
installed EPS, clips, and startup screens. iView displays images as a
list of file names, list of thumbnails, variable sized image, or as a
slide show. Images can then be cataloged, launched with the application
that created them, printed in custom reports, saved as a QuickTime=81
movie, copied to the clipboard, or dragged as clips/files/HTML formatted
pathnames to the finder or any drag & drop savvy application. Catalogs
can be searched and saved on your hard disk. A catalog can also display
thumbnail images from volumes that may not be mounted. iView will let
you view the images and prompt you to insert the volume to retrieve an
image when needed.

Software & Hardware Tracker II is a FileMaker Pro 3.0 (or later)
relational database which will help you collect, store and organize
useful information (such as registration codes, serial numbers, product
notes, useful adresses as well as phone/fax numbers and URLs for software
authors, companies and distributors, etc.) about all your computer
products (hardware, software and freeware/shareware). Even better, you
can launch URLs directly from inside the database, which will then call
upon the Internet Config system to open them with the proper helper
applications. That means Software & Hardware Tracker II can also be used
as a powerful FMPro based Internet bookmark manager.

Software & Hardware Tracker is a CNET/Download.com and a BizProWeb "pick
of the day".

It's being distributed as shareware and costs $15 (as always, upgrades
are free for registered users of previous version). Registrations are
handled by Kagi Shareware.

Thanks for supporting shareware!

(Software & Hardware Tracker II 2.0.1 may be included on the Info-Mac

Warcraft II Maps 4.0 - The Orcs are ready...

This is version 4.0 of my maps. What I have to say? Nothing...just that
they're 5 crazy new ones. Some of them are based in parts of the geography
of my country. Can you guess were I'm from?...And the winner is...the orcs.

This file contains 5 maps I create for Warcraft II=A9, Mac version (is there
something else?). To play them, you need the "Warcraft II" game, created by
Blizzard Entertainment=A9. System requirements are the ones the game needs.

These maps are freeware, so you can use and abuse them all you want, you
can give them to your friends, put them on any commercially available
CD-ROM, or you can trash them. But, if you like some of them, send me an
email telling me so. I will be glad to receive it.

And I will be glad, too, if you do something good for our Apple or Mac
(evangelize a Wintel user, buy another Mac, pay for the shareware, etc.).

These Maps were checked with Disinfectant 1.7.
