                   NEW FEATURES in version 2.0.

This release is a major update, featuring the new JDK 5 support and
various build process enchancements. The last release (done more than
a couple of years ago) proved itself to be very stable with no critical
bugs reported (despite thousands of downloads from main site only).
Let's hope that JEL will be as stable and reliable under JDK 5 as it
always was under Java 1 and Java 2.

1. JDK 5 source compatibility.

This release is built (and tested) under JDK 5 using all of the
new features (such as Generics). It will not work with older JDK
releases (because JDK 1.5 itself is not backwards compatible).
Please use older releases of JEL with old JDKs and JREs.

2. JEL is now built with ANT.

3. Documentation is now written in DocBook format.

4. Numerous doc commentsfixes.

                       PLANNED FEATURES

1. Allowing to call methods with variable number of arguments in JEL
   expressions.
