This is an archive directory for the Internet Engineering Task Force
(IETF) Site Security Policy Handbook Working Group (SSPHWG).  This
group is chartered to create a handbook to help sites develop their
own security policies.

Additionally, drafts for the recommended Internet security policy
have been archived in this directory.  These drafts are a result
of the Internet Engineering Task Force Security Policy Working
Group.  

Here is a list of the contents of this directory as of June 3, 1991.

draft-ietf-ssph-handbook-00.txt
	This is the May 1991 version of the Site Security Policy
        Handbook.  This document has been submitted as an Internet
        Draft to the IETF.  The intent is to try to submit this
        document as an RFC by August, 1991.

ssphwg.charter.txt
	This is a copy of the charter for this group.

ssphwg.collection
	This is the mail archives for the ssphwg@cert.sei.cmu.edu
	mailing list.  This is in MH packf format, with each message
	surrounded by control-A characters so you can read the
	messages individually with your favorite mailer.  

ssphwg.short.collection
	This is an abridged copy of the mail archives with some of the
	less useful messages removed (adminstrivia about upcoming
	meetings and such).  Also in packf format.

outline-jul5
	The outline that the handbook draft is based on.

ssph-draft-12sep.txt
	The August 90 (Vancouver IETF) first draft of the Policy
	Handbook.  Very slightly updated 12-Sep-90 to fix some typos.

ssph-draft-26nov.txt

        The November 90 (Boulder IETF) second draft of the Policy
        Handbook.  

spwg-policy-18mar.txt
	Revision of the work of the Security Policy Working Group, now
	titled "Guidelines for the Secure Operation of the Internet".
	This version was submitted to the IETF for Internet Draft
	status. 

spwg-policy-26feb.txt
	A revised working draft of the recommended Internet
	Security Policy developed by the Security Policy Working
	Group.  This is a revision of the November 28 draft.

spwg-policy-28nov.txt
 	A revised working draft (Nov 28 90) of the recommended
	Internet Security Policy developed by the Security Policy
	Working Group (SPWG).  This is is a revision of the October 9
	orgiginal draft Dicussion of this item belongs on the SPWG
	list.  Message spwg-request@nri.reston.va.us to be added.

        Original draft of the recommended Internet Security Policy.
	spwg-policy-28nov.txt is the latest version.
