Basic English Commentaries/ Wycliffe Bible Translators

Here is an opportunity for any Christian who has ever sat in front of
a computer and wondered why God put you in this place. Wycliffe Bible
Translators are running a project called the "Basic English
Commentaries" project, to provide Bible commentaries for third world
pastors. The aim of the project is to "translate" Bible commentaries
into simplified English, which is understandable by third world
translators who have learned English as a second (or third, or
fourth ...) language. The simplified commentaries can then be
  translated locally.

The project requires commentaries on the entire Bible to be
simplified, put onto computer, checked over, and then exported for
translation. Anyone with a computer, a commentary, and a desire to
contribute to the strengthening of Third World churches can take part.
