   Hello Bo,

   Yes please. This type of programs is very welcome to garbo, which
   favors programs with an educational flavor, without regard to age
   limits.

   > The second one, joke8.zip, is joking program. It displays a C:\ prompt

   Here I am not as sure, but let's take a look nevertheless. It just
   might be suitable for the demo directory.

   I'll quite the rest of your message for Harri's benefit.

   This thing keeps getting more complicated. Anyway someone else
   found a real serious error. So here is version 5.15 to replace
   and versions 5.xx of my uudecode.

   . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

   Below is my latest version of UUENCODE/DECODE version 5.15. The 5.xx
   series is similiar to version 4.21 but has one major enhancement and
   several minor improvements. Version 5.15 has two minor fixes (or
   enhancements depending on your view) of the previously released version
   5.10. Also 5.15 fixes a two important bugs involving data corruption in
   decoding single under 5.13.

   This program is FREEWARE. However if incorporated in your for profit
   product, I want a piece of the pie.

   OVERVIEW:

   This program quickly decodes multi-section encoded files. It takes
   sections as sent; it removes header and trailer lines. It does checksum
   and CRC verification. It automatically handles UU or XX encode
   protocols.

   You can save the sections, as received, in the same file or in several
   files. The sections can be in any order except the first section MUST
   BE FIRST because the header on the first section contains important
   information.

   The program searches for .UUE and .XXE (XX encoded) files. Previously
   it assumed that XX encoded files were saved with the .UUE extension.

   UUDECODE has improved, but still limited, "sed" functionality, it can
   decode files sent as Unix shell scripts that use sed to break the .sh
   file into parts. It also can handle "CUT HERE" lines according to newly
   proposed standards for the binary picture newsgroups.

   This is the sixth major release of this package. There are lots of
   little tests in the decode for all sorts of conditions that various
   encoders and communications systems put in files.

   For example: to use the decode, first save parts as:

	   Part01  ->  FOO1.UUE   (part 1 must be first)
	   Part06  ->  FOO1.UUE   (append)
	   Part05  ->  FOO1.UUE   (append)
	   Part03  ->  FOO2.UUE
	   Part02  ->  FOO3.UUE
	   Part04  ->  FOO3.UUE   (append)

   Then download files to your PC and enter UUDECODE FOO.

   By examining the output of Borland's Turbo Pascal compiler (TPC or
   TPCX), UNITREE (Unit Tree) creates a graphical depiction of the
   compile-time dependencies among units. Units are listed in the order in
   which they are compiled, and lines indicate the dependency that caused a
   unit to be compiled. Can be useful in combating compilation error 13,
   "too many open files," and in gaining a better understanding of unit
   dependencies. UNITREE also shows the order in which unit initialization
   code will be executed. Version 1.1 fixes the slight problem, that
   version 1.0 didn't run at all.

   I just uploaded /pc/incoming/ddata40.zip ...

		   Diamond Data (version 4.0)

   Note: Diamond Data 4.0 replaces Softball Coach 3.0 (stored in
	 /pc/util/sball30.zip on garbo.uwasa.fi)

   Diamond Data is a shareware program which operates on MSDOS computers.
   It tracks the following statistics:

   Defense:                Game:
	   assists                 avg errs/game
	   errors                  avg hits/game
	   fielding %              avg runs/game
	   putouts                 date
				   errors (each team)
				   hits (each team)
				   home/away
				   opponent
				   runs (each team)

   Offense:                Pitching:
	   at bats                 ERA
	   batting avg             Earned runs
	   doubles                 hits given up
	   game winning RBI home runs given up
	   games played            innings pitched
	   hit by pitch            losses
	   hits                    runners/inning pitched
	   home runs               runs
	   on base avg.            saves
	   runs                    strikeouts
	   RBIs                    walks given up
	   sacrifices              winning %
	   slugging %              wins
	   stolen bases
	   strikeouts
	   triples
	   walks

   There is no limit to the number of teams you can keep track of or the
   number of players on your roster.

   Reports can be sent to disk, printer, or your screen. The output can
   be sorted on any statistic (or combination of up to 5 statistics) and
   players can be "filtered" (e.g. only consider those who have played
   more than 5 games).

   Diamond Data comes with a complete manual describing all operations.
   The manual also includes complete definitions for all statistics
   supported as well as addresses for some interesting leagues and
   associations dealing with baseball and softball.

   Diamond Data requires MSDOS version 2.1 or better and 256K of memory
   to operate. It will work with any video adapter. It also includes
   support for a Microsoft compatible mouse.

   Registration for Diamond Data is $25 (US funds) (Massachusetts
   residents should include 5% sales tax). Registered users receive the
   current version of Diamond Data as well as a printed manual and
   notification of updates. An evaluation copy is available directly
   from the author for $5 (US funds) to cover shipping and handling.

   Diamond Data is produced by a member of the Association of Shareware
   Professionals.
