I recently had this problem and when I couldn't find any
commercially available, I dyed my own. It's easier than
you think and you can use household substances to do it.
I simply put a teaspoon of coffee, a teaspoon of vinegar,
and some water in a glass jar, stuffed the white ripstop
into it and immersed it in a pot of boiling water for about
20 minutes. A quick rinse and you have yourself a nice,
tan piece of ripstop. I have also had great success using
Kool-Aid as suggested by a couple of people here on r.k.
BTW--I also put in a little bit of tea to give it a slightly
warmer tan colour. Experiment on small pieces and enjoy!

North Sail has a beige/tan colour. In the States Hang 'em High or Kite
Studio (KBI) is a good source.

Kite Studio carries a biege, 3/4 ounce ripstop in stock. It is made by
North Cloth and is 56 inches wide. First & Second quality are almost
always available.

Try the local drugstore and get some *hot dye*. (overhere the
brandname is Dylon)
Works great on (white) ripstop nylon and available in all the colors
you might want.
