All the files that are present under the ftp/pub/academic directory are
intended to be used by all academic institutions willing to acquire one
or more CHORUS products.

Each file is held as a regular file in ascii form. Therefore, use the
"ascii" mode of FTP when transferring the files.

Those files are listed as follows : ------------------------------------

 - offerings : this file contains the description of offerings made to
   academic institutions in terms of licensing, distribution, support
   and products description.

 - european-fees : contains precise charging of the CHORUS offerings
   for european countries (in Ecus).

 - outside-europe-fees : contains precise charging of the CHORUS 
   offerings outside Europe (in US Dollars).

 - [product].order : all the files with an "order" suffix describe all
   the data required by Chorus systemes in order to produce a license
   and perform delivery.

How can you ask Chorus systemes for product delivery ? -----------------

 - first, you should have retrieved the "offerings" file to get the
   content of our offering, especially concerning :

    * products availability ;
    * technology and license requirements for product delivery ;
    * support conditions.

 - for more information, retrieve all needed product datasheets from
   the ftp/pub/datasheets directory. Go to that directory for details.

 - then, you choose which product(s) you want to order and retrieve the
   corresponding ".order" file(s).

 - fill it (them) in as required. BE SURE TO ABSOLUTELY COMPLY TO ALL
   REQUIREMENTS STATED IN THE "PRE-REQUISITES" SECTION OF THE PRODUCT
   DATASHEET(S) !!!

 - send it (them) back by email to <di@chorus.fr>. Do not forget to
   also send an official order form from your institution concerning
   the chosen product(s) !

 - then, Chorus systemes will produce a license document for that 
   product(s) and send it to you for signature.

 - in the end, send back the signed license document so that we could
   perform the product delivery (and send you a copy of the license).
   For FTP delivery, this is the stage at which we provide you for your
   account username and password.
